Pricing & Cost
What a Seattle party bus actually costs, and what's included.

A typical 5-hour Saturday booking runs about $1,575 all-in, which includes 20% driver gratuity, a 10% fuel surcharge, and 10% Washington State sales tax. Your final quote depends on bus size, duration, day of week, and pickup/dropoff distance. Call (206) 914-3560 for an exact quote.
What is the hourly rate for a party bus in Seattle?
+
The hourly rate is $225 per hour with a 2-hour minimum booking. Gratuity (20%), fuel surcharge (10%), and Washington State sales tax (10%) are added on top of the base hourly rate.
Is there a minimum rental time for a Seattle party bus?
+
Yes — the minimum booking is 2 hours. Most real bookings run longer: bachelor and bachelorette parties typically go 5-8 hours, weddings 5-6 hours, and wine tours 5-7 hours.
How much does a bachelorette party bus cost in Seattle?
+
A bachelorette party bus is billed at the standard $225/hour with a 2-hour minimum. Most bachelorette bookings run 5-6 hours (roughly $1,575-$1,890 all-in including gratuity, fuel, and tax). Split across the group, that's often $60-$100 per person for the whole night.
Do Seattle party bus prices include gratuity, fuel, and tax?
+
Those are added to the base rate, not hidden inside it. On top of the $225/hour base you'll see a 20% driver gratuity, a 10% fuel surcharge, and 10% Washington State sales tax. We quote the all-in total up front so there are no surprises.
What is included in a Seattle party bus rental?

Every booking includes a CDL-certified chauffeur, fuel, full commercial insurance, leather lounge seating, a premium Bluetooth sound system, custom LED lighting, climate control, cooler space for drinks and ice, and tinted privacy windows. Some buses add karaoke and a dance pole. Gratuity, fuel surcharge, and state tax are itemized on your quote.
Booking & Logistics
How to book, how far ahead, deposits, cancellations, and tipping.
How far in advance should I book a party bus in Seattle?
+
Weddings and proms: 8-16 weeks ahead. Bachelor and bachelorette parties: 3-8 weeks (summer Saturdays fill first). Wine tours, birthdays, and corporate events: 2-4 weeks. New Year's Eve: book by October. We accept last-minute bookings whenever a bus is available — call (206) 914-3560 to check.
What is the deposit and cancellation policy for a Seattle party bus?
+
A deposit confirms your booking. Cancellations more than 30 days out receive a full refund minus a small processing fee; 15-30 days out receive a 50% refund; within 14 days is non-refundable but can often be rescheduled based on availability. Exact terms are confirmed in writing at booking.
How much should I tip a party bus driver in Seattle?
+
A 20% driver gratuity is already included in your quote, so no additional tip is expected. If your chauffeur goes above and beyond, an extra cash tip is always appreciated but never required.
How do I get a quote for a Seattle party bus?
+
Call (206) 914-3560 or use the inquiry form on our reservation page. We usually quote within 30 minutes during business hours and always within 24 hours. Have your event date, pickup/dropoff locations, group size, and event type ready for the fastest accurate quote.
Can I change my event details after booking?
+
Yes. Guest count, timing, and route can usually be adjusted before your event — just let us know as early as possible so we can re-confirm the right bus and driver. Significant changes may adjust the quote.
Safety, Licensing & Insurance
Your group is precious cargo. In Washington, party buses and limos are for-hire passenger carriers — legally they must be licensed, professionally driven, and heavily insured. Here's how to vet any operator, and what we do.
How can I tell if a party bus or limo company is properly licensed and insured?
+
Before booking any party bus or limo in Washington — including us — ask three questions. (1) Are you a licensed charter carrier? Passenger charter and excursion companies must hold an active certificate from the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) under state law (RCW 81.70). (2) Do your drivers hold the right license — a CDL with a Passenger (P) endorsement for full-size buses (16+ passengers) — and take part in a DOT drug-and-alcohol testing program? A regular driver's license is not enough to legally carry a busload of people. (3) Do you carry commercial liability insurance and file proof of it with the state? Washington requires up to $5 million in coverage for buses seating 16 or more. You can check any carrier's federal safety record for free on the FMCSA SAFER Company Snapshot. Rock-bottom quotes, cash-only or personal-Venmo requests, and no proof of authority are warning signs of an unlicensed, uninsured operator — which leaves you and your guests carrying the risk. Seattle Party Limo is a fully licensed, UTC-regulated, USDOT-registered, and fully insured operator.
Is Seattle Party Limo licensed and insured?
+
Yes. Seattle Party Limo (Fun Way To Go LLC) operates as a licensed charter and excursion carrier regulated by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission, is registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation, and carries full commercial liability insurance filed with the state. Every bus and limo we run is covered on every trip, and we've operated legally in Washington since 2013.
What insurance should a party bus or limo company carry — and why does it matter?
+
For a full-size bus (16 or more passengers), Washington requires the carrier to hold up to $5 million in commercial liability insurance and file proof of it with the UTC; smaller chauffeured vehicles carry commercial coverage as well. That protection is for every passenger in the event of an accident. An unlicensed operator, a "friend with a van," or someone running trips on a personal auto policy typically carries none of this — and a personal auto policy will not cover a for-hire trip, so a claim can be denied and passengers left exposed. We carry the commercial coverage the state requires on every vehicle, every trip.
Do party bus and limo drivers need a special license?
+
For a full-size party bus (16 or more passengers), the driver legally needs a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement, plus participation in a DOT-regulated drug-and-alcohol testing program (49 CFR Part 382) that includes pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing. Every Seattle Party Limo chauffeur holds a CDL with passenger endorsement and is background-checked. Anyone can rent a van — not everyone driving one is licensed to carry your group. Ours are.
On the Bus & Amenities
What's on board, BYOB and permit rules, karaoke, and decorating.
What is on a Seattle Party Limo party bus?
+
Premium leather lounge seating, a Bluetooth sound system, custom-color LED lighting, hardwood-style floors, climate control, tinted privacy windows, and cooler space for drinks. The 30-passenger Club Eleven adds a karaoke system and dance pole; most buses have TV screens.
Can you bring your own alcohol (BYOB) on a Seattle party bus?
+
Yes for all-adult (21+) bookings — the bus has built-in cooler space for drinks and ice, and the chauffeur enforces the under-21 rule strictly. A Washington banquet permit may be required depending on how alcohol is served; we walk you through it at booking. Under-21 events (proms, school dances, kids' parties) are strictly alcohol-free.
Do you need a banquet permit to serve alcohol on a party bus in Washington?
+
A Washington State banquet permit may be required when alcohol is served on board a chartered vehicle, depending on the event. It's an inexpensive online permit from the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board. We flag whether your specific booking needs one and explain how to get it.
Do Seattle party buses have karaoke, dance poles, and Bluetooth sound?
+
Yes. Every bus has a premium Bluetooth sound system and LED lighting. The 30-passenger Club Eleven includes a full karaoke system with dual screens, wireless microphones, and a dance pole. Groups bring their own song source (KaraFun, Smule, YouTube karaoke, or a playlist) over Bluetooth.
Can we decorate the party bus for a wedding, birthday, or prom?
+
Yes — non-permanent decorations like window markers, removable streamers, and magnets are welcome. Please avoid tape, staples, or anything that could damage the upholstery, walls, lighting, or floors.
Is smoking or vaping allowed on the bus?
+
No. Smoking and vaping are not permitted on board. The chauffeur can make stops so the group can step off when needed.
Party Bus vs Limo vs Charter Bus
How a party bus compares to a stretch limo or a charter bus for Seattle groups.
What is the difference between a party bus and a limo in Seattle?
+
A limo (sedan or stretch) seats about 6-10 passengers in a fixed layout and suits smaller, formal groups. A party bus seats 25-34 passengers with an open lounge floor, so people can stand, move around, dance, and socialize — with a real sound system and LED lighting. For most Seattle group celebrations of 15+ people, a party bus offers far more room and value per person than multiple limos.
Party bus vs limo for a Seattle wedding — which should I choose?
+
For a wedding, it comes down to group size and vibe. A stretch limo is elegant for the couple or a small bridal party of up to about 8. A party bus is better when you need to move the whole bridal party (up to 34) together, run a hotel-to-venue guest shuttle, or keep the celebration going between locations. Many Seattle weddings use a party bus precisely because everyone rides together and the bus doubles as a climate-controlled lounge during photos.
Is a party bus or a charter bus better for a large group in Seattle?
+
A charter/coach bus is built for point-to-point transport (comfortable seats, quiet ride) and is ideal for large guest shuttles of 40+. A party bus is built for the experience — lounge seating, sound, lighting, and BYOB space — for groups up to 34 who want to celebrate on board. Choose a party bus when the ride is part of the party; choose a charter bus when you just need to move a lot of people efficiently.
Choosing the Right Size
How many passengers fit, and which bus suits your group.
What is the best way to get a large group to a wedding, prom, or event in Seattle?
+
The simplest way to move a large group to one event is a single party bus, so everyone travels together, leaves together, and arrives on time — no caravan of cars, no parking headaches, and no one getting lost on the way. Our largest party buses seat 34 passengers; for groups over 34 we run multiple buses on the same itinerary or add a charter-style guest shuttle. Pick one point of contact, share the pickup time and address with the group ahead of time, and book early (8-16 weeks out for weddings and proms) since the biggest buses go first. Call (206) 914-3560 to plan it.
How many people fit on a party bus in Seattle?
+
Our luxury fleet seats 25, 26, 30, or 34 passengers. The 25-passenger Galaxy 12 suits smaller groups; the 26-passenger Encore has a nightlife feel; the 30-passenger Club Eleven adds karaoke and a dance pole; and the 34-passenger Kloud 9 and King XIII are our largest. For groups over 34 we coordinate multiple buses.
What is the largest party bus you can rent in Seattle?
+
Our largest party buses — the Kloud 9 and King XIII — each seat 34 passengers. For groups larger than 34 we run multiple buses together so everyone stays on the same itinerary.
What size party bus should I choose?
+
Use your headcount as the starting point: 25-passenger for smaller friend groups, 30-passenger if you want karaoke and a dance pole, and 34-passenger for a full wedding or prom group. If some guests may bring plus-ones, size up a tier so no one is left standing.
By Occasion
Weddings, proms, bachelor/bachelorette parties, wine tours, corporate, sports, and concerts.
Do you provide wedding transportation in Seattle?
+
Yes. We handle bridal-party transportation, hotel-to-venue guest shuttles, getaway exits, and rehearsal-dinner transport, coordinating timing directly with your planner, venue, and photographer. The 34-passenger buses are the most popular for wedding parties and guest shuttles.
Is a party bus safe for high school prom in Seattle?
+
Yes. Every prom booking includes a CDL-certified, background-checked chauffeur and full commercial insurance, and all under-21 events are strictly alcohol-free — enforced by the driver. Parents or a group lead set the route in advance, so students get a real arrival moment and parents get door-to-door peace of mind.
Do you do bachelor and bachelorette party buses in Seattle?
+
Yes — these are some of our most popular bookings. Typical routes combine an afternoon activity, dinner, and Seattle nightlife, brewery, or casino stops, all on one bus with a chauffeur who stays with the group the whole night. Most bachelor/bachelorette bookings run 5-8 hours.
Do you offer Woodinville wine tour transportation from Seattle?
+
Yes. Woodinville Wine Country is our most common wine-tour route, along with Yakima Valley and Walla Walla by custom itinerary. Your chauffeur handles the driving and parking so the whole group can taste safely and stay together between wineries.
Do you handle corporate event transportation in Seattle?
+
Yes. We serve company off-sites, holiday parties, client entertainment, conference shuttles, and team events, including Eastside pickups in Bellevue and Redmond. Repeat corporate clients can be invoiced with NET-30 terms.
Can you provide transportation to Seattle sporting events and concerts?
+
Yes — we run game-day and concert transportation to Lumen Field, T-Mobile Park, Climate Pledge Arena, WaMu Theater, The Showbox, and the Tacoma Dome. The bus keeps your group together and skips the parking and designated-driver logistics.
